I am a Melbourne based painter and ceramicist. My work, through linking practices of abstract painting with ceramic forms, explores the friction arising between our perception of objects and our conceptualisation of them.

Mostly self-taught as a painter, I discovered ceramics later, when I realized how important is the aspect of touch (working in the round) and intimacy between me and artwork.

When I work I simply enjoy the process of creating, the interaction between me and the blank canvas or chunk of clay.

I believe that the most interesting work comes from risk taking, from following your gut instead of following the existing rules- creative play, creative thinking and simple joy of the unknown.
